When Did TikTok’s Music Channel Debut?

The TikTok radio channel debuted on August 20, 2021. During its launch week, some of the platform’s most followed stars did channel takeovers. The “Creator Invasion” channel highlights featured Alex Warren, Ashnikko, Bella Poarch, Dillon Francis, Dixie D’Amelio, Ed Sheeran, Just Stef, JXDN, Lil Nas X, Loren Gray, Noah Beck, Normani, Spencer X, Tai Verdes, Walker Hayes and more.

In their announcement, SiriusXM’s President and Chief Content Officer, Scott Greenstein, referred to this latest partnership with TikTok as “groundbreaking” and “a first-of-its-kind.” He added that the new channel captures “the pulse of the global music culture, vibrancy, and vitality found on the entertaining social platform.”

The music channel gives music artists even more opportunities to reach more ears. “The channel captures the song-breaking music culture that creates so much joy and entertainment on TikTok through video in an all-audio format,” said Ole Obermann, TikTok’s Global Head of Music.

What Shows Are Available?

Here are some shows you should tune in to on the TikTok radio station:

  • DJ Habibeats’s Mixshow. The show features a mix of musical genres and decades but also highlights DJ Habibeats’s beginnings in hip-hop.
